The CLAT 2026 exam was conducted on December 7, 2025, at numerous test centres nationwide. The Consortium also released the final answer key along with the results after resolving objections raised against the provisional key.
Results for both CLAT UG and PG were published together, and candidates must log in using their registered credentials to access their scorecards and rank details. The scorecards include candidate details, marks obtained and category-wise ranks, which will form the basis for the subsequent counselling and seat allotment process.
With the results out, the CLAT 2026 counselling registration has commenced, allowing candidates to complete the registration process for admissions into 24 National Law Universities and other participating law schools. Eligible candidates can register online until December 27, 2025, after which the first merit list and seat allotment schedules will be published.
Law aspirants are also using college predictor tools to estimate their chances of admission into top NLUs based on their ranks and expected cut-offs. Experts say a score of around 95–100+ marks in the general category could be competitive for entry into some of the premier law schools, although actual cut-offs will be confirmed during counselling.
The CLAT results mark a crucial milestone in the legal education calendar, determining admission pathways into LLB and LLM programmes across India’s leading law universities. Candidates are advised to regularly check the official Consortium website for counselling updates, merit lists and admission notices.
