Ahmedabad — The Institute of Design at Nirma University has officially announced the commencement of Bachelor of Design (B.Des) admissions for the 2026–27 academic year, inviting aspirants to apply for its four-year undergraduate programmes in Product & Interaction Design and Communication Design. Admissions will be open to candidates based on valid scores from the Undergraduate Common Entrance Examination for Design (UCEED) and the Nirma University Design Entrance Test (NUDET), giving students multiple pathways to secure a seat.
To be eligible, applicants must have passed the Class 12 (HSC) examination or equivalent with a minimum 50% aggregate, or hold a recognised 10+3 diploma, and then qualify through either UCEED or NU-DET, followed by a situation test and personal interview conducted offline.
The merit calculation for final selection assigns weightage to entrance exam performance, situation test and interview performance, assessing candidates’ creative aptitude and design potential.
